So when you read about eight members of an NBC News Team being beaten by Israeli settlers today in the West Bank, it's important to note two things:

1. The settler wouldn't do this to Americans had they not received a green light from the Israeli gov.
2. Israel's gov would not have given such a green light unless it felt confident that the US gov - and Amb. Huckabee - wouldn't lift a finger to defend the Americans.

Mike doesn’t think one Nation and its dear leader are racist though - because Mike’s wife is Japanese and the Japanese were proud of their monoculture. Plus all Mike’s business partners are Indian and they are patriotic. 🙄

As Poorlene has realised she has to appeal to a certain type of culture in her candidates to have a hope of acquiring seats - Having a candidate that can speak Japanese and has spent the majority of his time in a foreign Asian country might appeal to a certain demographic - but as she continues to condemn and ostracise 90 percent of the cultural diversity of our electorates by elevating and enabling racism through divisive rhetoric and populist policy for notoriety, she may well be grabbing the dragon by the tail.

She is both pushing racism while displaying a tolerance of multi-lingual candidacy and hidden higher immigration levels.

Those enabled self-appointed white-boy guardians of the racist realm might not be so enthused by the constant hypocrisy.

* A Melbourne man is now charged with stabbing a woman and punching a child with cancer in a random attack.

* An alleged rapist can now be identified as a former surgeon with two major Melbourne Hospitals.

The @Sydney_Uni is facing an alumni revolt over Israel.

More than 450 graduates and staff, including a deputy vice-chancellor and Australian AM and OAM recipients, signed a letter demanding a rare Convocation meeting (the first in over three decades) to discuss the university's ties to Israel and free speech on campus.

The signatories accuse the university of a "profound moral failure" over Gaza and a "suppression of dissent" on campus.

Data centres could be an opportunity for Australia but only if we get the settings right and plan for the long term.

That means putting in place strong power and water safeguards, ensuring they are appropriately located, guaranteeing local compute access for Australian companies and introducing some kind of data centre tax - which we have heard nothing about from government. These companies are experts at profit shifting offshore and we need to retain some benefit here in Australia. We also need to see far greater investment in retraining workers who face job displacement due to AI and make sure we're not make housing affordability worse if data centres are taking away from our construction workforce.
