Here is the data expressed as a percent of the salary cap every year since 2011-12. Don't think you can say the new CBA has actively harmed the players. In fact, teams are spending at levels they never have prior as a % of the cap. Will go deeper in The Waive And Stretch soon.

Just in: Free agent guard Anfernee Simons has agreed to a two-year, $12.3 million deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, with a player option in second season, sources tell ESPN. Simons chose the 76ers over other suitors believing his fit is perfect with the revamped 76ers roster.

Free agent forward Kobe Sanders has agreed to a four-year, $11.2 million deal to return to the Los Angeles Clippers, sources tell ESPN. A second round pick in 2025, Sanders averaged 7.3 points and 19.9 minutes over 68 games as a rookie.
