yikes -- Lisa Demuth struggled just to get through her opening statement during her debate with Amy Klobuchar, losing her train of thought and taking looooooooong pauses while she tried to figure out what she was saying
.@NedZimmer showed up at a GOP meeting. @JoshuaSchriver didn’t. An attendee’s explanation: “Josh’s seat is safe.” No seat should be safer than a representative’s commitment to showing up. Ned explains the difference between the two candidates for the District 66 house seat below.
Michigan House Speaker @RepMattHall has been linked to a coordinated doxxing campaign targeting women running for office, putting their safety at risk.
Hall already has a documented history of threatening behavior toward women, (plus some gambling, alcohol, racist emails, calling women the C word, locking a woman in a closet in his office) . Now he needs to answer for his role in these attacks in his most recent attacks on women candidates.
No woman should have to fear for her life because she dared to run for public office.
Enough is enough.
Do you think she knows JD Vance's real name is James Donald Bowman? We know it's just about Islamophobia for these people. And there is no way she is from Detroit.
@JeffMossDSR You’d think something like this would anger that grifting fraud Charlie LeDuff, but he never says a word about this or Rogers profiting off the Opioid Crisis. Ten years ago, LeDuff cared about those issues. Now, he’s a carnival barker for Republicans like Rogers.
Council voted for a Lake Huron pipeline. Rick Snyder’s emergency managers controlled Flint and chose the river in the interim. MDEQ - not MEDC - failed to require corrosion control. Your recap leaves out who held power.
Just to review: The Flint water crisis was caused by the Democrat Flint city council with the help of the MEDC. The city council voted to switch water sources to the more acidic Flint River, the MEDC told them that further chemical treatment (with orthophosphate) wasn't required. Result? More acidic Flint River water dissolved the protective oxide layer from lead pipes and then the underlying base metal, increasing lead levels in drinking water.

The scene outside the last Michigan Senate debate. Lots of Rogers supporters/signs.
Also, what seems to be an inflatable Jeffrey Epstein.
.@MaiXiongMI is a Democrat, that’s true. But…Republicans control Michigan’s House and ran in 2024 on lowering costs and mortgage rates. Maybe you should ask Matt Hall and others in the house what they’re doing to fix this problem. Wow. You guys are really bad at this.
There is a Michigander who can’t afford a mortgage? If there were people whose job it was to fix that…
Oh right, Democrats like @MaiXiongMI have run our state into the ground, and now she’s making fun of someone for not owning a home.
Maybe do your job, Representative.
He literally said he can afford a mortgage and is choosing to save for a bigger down payment on a better home. You turned “we’re perfectly content” into “Democrats made us unable to buy a home.” Read your own guy’s statement before writing the outrage.

JD Vance makes a recommendation on who to vote for in the midterms:
"Vote for the people who have solutions to lower the cost of gas, don't vote for the people who made the problem to begin with."
Trump on Jon Husted: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"
Nobody thinks it’s free. We think our taxes should buy things like healthcare and decent roads. You call that fantasy, then ask taxpayers to finance another tax break for people who could buy the whole damn road.
Democrats want “free everything.” They’re living in a fantasy world. The reality? They’ll reach into your pockets with both hands, take YOUR money, and call it help.
