Omweso will always be my favorite board game. I had an amazing time playing with Mr. Juma yesterday.
An interesting fact about Omweso is that it was traditionally played only by men, so much so that the specific "winning move" is known as akakyaala in Luganda

Across West Nile communities, the #ProtectSRHR project is transforming how young people access vital health information and services.
Faced with rising HIV infections, teenage pregnancies, and high dropout rates, our peer educators, under the stewardship of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Uganda, are taking action. Through dialogues, door-to-door mobilizations, and peer-to-peer talks, we are meeting young people where they are. We encourage them to stay in school, abstain from early sex, and use protection if they are already sexually active.
To bridge the access gap, our youth leaders work alongside the Ministry of Health and local health centres to share life-saving information and prevention measures, including condom distribution. These efforts address the root causes of school dropouts and health risks, ensuring a stronger future for Uganda’s human capital.
Condom distribution is a vital step toward boosting the wellbeing of the youth in West Nile. This is a journey we are proud to walk alongside our partners and the community.
