Earlier today, I attended the launch of the U.S. Exchange Alumni Gridiron Superbowl 2026/27, a new initiative connecting alumni and students through American football, leadership, mentorship, & exchange.

The panel highlighted sport’s power to build education and investment opportunities, strengthen sports diplomacy, and develop leadership on and off the field.

Glad to say that this aligns with Duffled Magazine’s work amplifying culture, youth expression, and initiatives that connect people and create opportunities across the creative and tourism sectors. The Gridiron Superbowl is a promising platform for exchange, tourism, and national pride. Thank you @Jessica_Aanyu for the invite and continued opportunities you put out for us.

My community and I go together like a hand in a glove, and I hold my cultural heritage close to my heart. Thank you to @misstourismUga for helping me learn more about and celebrate my roots.

Last year, we provided 200 Mama Kits to Abim General Hospital, a 100 bed referral facility.

This year, our goal is 500 Mama Kits and 1,000 litres of fuel to help get expectant mothers to hospital for care and safe delivery.

At one of our post events, Tonyii and Jelimo empowered the amazing girls of Climate Skaters Kiteezi teaching them to assemble their boards, sharing skating basics and tricks, and offering lessons for life beyond the sport. In Frame 2.

Mama Aminah kept the energy alive on the deck. Grateful for friendships and collaborations like these.

Locs are often called “unprofessional” because schools and workplaces still follow narrow beauty standards shaped by Eurocentric norms.
Hair can be clean and well maintained, yet judged as untidy simply because it doesn’t fit one preferred look. 1/3

That bias can pressure students and workers to change their hair and affect confidence, hiring and advancement. Clear safety and hygiene rules matter, but they should address genuine needs and apply equally.
