Dear Minister,
20 POINTS ON BECOMING AN EFFECTIVE MINISTER OF THE WORD!
1. In my experience of teaching the Word of God locally and internationally, I have frequently encountered questions regarding my approach to studying Scripture and acquiring revelational knowledge. I always emphasise that there is no specific method or exclusive revelation knowledge apart from praying, reading, and relying on the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we explore the depths of the word. Here are some tips that I believe will assist young ministers in correctly interpreting and understanding the truth of scripture:
2. Scripture is a vast ocean with multiple streams but carries one unified message, mission, and direction. The central focus revolves around God the Father's provision, the finished work of Christ, and the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit. Remember that Scripture reveals what the Father has provided, what Christ has accomplished, and what the Spirit is presently doing. As you study, pay attention to these three overarching themes, which serve as guiding principles for accurately interpreting the word. Aligning Your engagement with these themes illuminates your understanding.
3. Essentially, scripture flow follows a pattern similar to the creation of a man. The Man was first created, then formed, and finally made. This Scriptural creation, formation, and pattern creation provides a practical framework for comprehending the unfolding narrative.
4. To understand scripture’s flow comprehensively, we delve into the details of people, places, contexts, and events. For instance, understanding the full scope of David's life requires examining his historical accounts in books like Samuel, Kings, and Chronicles and his Psalms, prophetic references, the Gospels, the Epistles, and even Revelation. Similarly, studying a particular location like Ephesus demands considering its references in Acts, the Epistles, Revelation, and, of course, the Epistle to the Ephesians. Embrace the concept of "the whole counsel" to obtain an accurate overview of Scripture.
5. Take note of "first mentions" within Scripture, as they often establish a foundation for understanding subsequent references. The initial mention of a concept or theme in scripture is typically interconnected with its later occurrences, akin to isotopes and allotropes.
6. One significant way to engage with Scripture is by immersing yourself in the story through the Holy Spirit. When you enter a story under Spirit's guidance, you can follow the narrative as a biographer, uncovering the hidden depths behind the written words.
7. Establishing a solid foundation for one translation before exploring others is advisable. Choose a translation you feel comfortable with, such as the NKJV or KJV, widely regarded as a reliable option. Familiarise oneself with one translation before incorporating modern translations. Starting with a solid understanding of the old or new King James version makes it easier to adapt to most contemporary translations. Stick with one translation for a considerable study period.
8. Differentiate between biblical acts and biblical doctrines as you study Scripture. Some concepts are only referenced once, indicating biblical actions, whereas biblical principles are typically reiterated two or three times throughout the text.
Dear Folks, it’s alright not to have new goals, dreams and visions for 2023. Finishing what you started in 2022 is a valid goal. Refuse to be pressured. Stay committed to whatever you have been building. Grace to you!
There is such a thing called dependency.
This year you must learn to lean on God for instructions and directions.
It’s going to be a beautiful year.

Believers want to be rich and influential, and truthfully I endorse that, but the devil has just managed to make that the main focus. We have neglected other heavenly values like sanctification, repentance, holiness, evangelism etc.
Are we still on this tithe and giving matter? Hmmm, thought by now we should have moved on to strong meats, not laying again foundational things. If you will not give your tithe, leave am. Surely, the church shall prosper, and you are not cursed. Okay!!!
If we are light bearers, why can’t we share light on this? Our friends on the other end of the divide speak about these things in their holy places, but we wouldn’t. For us, it’s let’s pray for our leaders, and be NUMB when it comes to choosing them. I don’t get it!
