@Neo7hinker@Halcyon93813241 I think it favours certain cards way more often than it does other cards, with seemingly no consistency. Makes me very curious about the algorithm it uses to shuffle!!
@Neo7hinker@Halcyon93813241 I’ve noticed some support mon I almost always start with but in my lopunny deck where I dont have meowth or fez, I am yet to start with any of my support mon in over 100 games, even though they take up ~33% of my basics. In paper I start with them often.
@Halcyon93813241 Genuinely, whatever algorithm its using to “shuffle” decks is abhorrent. And its not one sided either, if I dont brick, my opponent does and just forfeits or goes afk 1 minute into a game. So it was wasted time anyway. Its so tiring.
@JPNovelFan@AdamBrookeTCG Fr, played against a Japanese player at Melb Regionals (before tourney) and he started explaining “the theory in japan” for some pult tech, like theyre all collaborating publicly. And even advised me, an aussie playing Lopunny, how to better tech for it 😭
@FlameTCG@TimDanklin@AzulGG I talked to a judge, apparently it isnt streamed officially because the TO (esl) has to pay for the pokemon streaming crew and equipment to travel, which apparently ends up being roughly $30,000. Ppl from the community streamed+casted the matches unofficially on twitch

Competitive gamers: If you VOD review, always watch them on 2x speed.
In a study of 231 students there was no difference in retention between 1x and 2x.
Better yet: Watching at 2x twice (week apart) beats watching 1x once. Same time, better retention.

Have you ever had that scared feeling losing your points playing ranked that it changes the way you play or your ability to push "ready"? Think about this to help you queue with confidence!

Everyone asking why aim trainers don't just go pro in the game are missing the point and are vastly underestimating the mental and behavioral demands of being a professional player. More of us just happen to be more interested in farming fun clips instead of scrimming every day.
