@SteveHilton says he sent a voter-acceleration plan to @GavinNewsom last week – and Newsom immediately ridiculed him, claiming that the governor has nothing to do with the way the election process works.

Hilton says that’s hogwash bc the Calif. governor obviously has enormous influence on the state legislature and state policy.

AND now, he says, Newsom is saying the exact same thing his reform plan calls for – more resources for counties so they can get things done in a more timely way.
