@turnipator1 @SteierMisha BlackRock actually has very little involvement in the housing market. The original version of the article had an error - BlackRock simply owns a small stake in Invitation Homes, which owns 80,000 units. So it is entirely true that NIMBYs do far more damage than BlackRock.

@SteierMisha BlackRock owns 80,000 units, but at least they exist and can be lived in. Admittedly vague "millions" would make a far larger impact on prices if they were actually built. Simple supply and demand.
