Amendment 2 is a bad idea for Kentucky's public schools and the 650,000 students they currently serve. KSBA's Board of Directors urges all Kentuckians to #VOTENoOn2!
KSBA’s Amendment 2 FACT CHECK series continues!
The claim: Amendment 2 “protects public school funding” and “increases teacher pay.”
The facts: Amendment 2 does neither. The amendment gives Ky.'s legislature new authority to direct public tax dollars to private schools. Period.
Public tax dollars belong in public schools. Amendment 2 would bankrupt our school districts, particularly in rural Kentucky. I spoke to a group of superintendents and administrators about why we should vote "No on Amendment 2" this November.
LaRue County Schools is excited to announce Adryanne Warren as the incoming Superintendent as of July 1, 2024!
Warren has served in several roles within the district; a fifth-grade teacher at ALES, curriculum specialist for the district & her current position as LCMS Principal.
NEW #EmotionalIntelligence RESEARCH ALERT
Across multiple studies we found that educator well-being is associated with the emotionally intelligent behavior of their school leaders - something we’ve known intuitively, but now have the empirical evidence to demonstrate it.
Note: leaders’ EI skills mattered more in times of crisis.
The real test of emotionally intelligent leadership is when leaders use their skills when they’re needed the most.
Congratulations team @YaleEmotion@rulerapproach.

One of my favorite parts about being Lieutenant Governor is getting to meet with students from all across our commonwealth. Today I was excited to meet with these amazing young leaders from LaRue County High School. They are proving that our future is bright, Kentucky!
