@BCalStewardess PAN AM ordered 25 DC-8s in October 1955, receiving the first aircraft in March 1960. They would remain in the fleet until 1970. From the start, the DC-8 offered six-abreast seating. Eventually, Boeing matched that cabin width, and the B707 became a front runner.

@ClassicsPlanes VASP operated 3 A300-B2 from 1982 until its bankruptcy in 2005, when they were abandoned at its previous CGH hub. The frames were finally dismantled for scrap in 2020. Sad ending for these great birds!
