@Tanwrk@UkrainianAna You linked an article about refugees in Krakow, Poland, you fucking moron. That's not the same as the agricultural output of Ukraine.
If you said America is the richest country and I linked an article about how some Americans were poor as a counterpoint, that'd be just as stupid.
@Tanwrk@UkrainianAna Have you considered it might be difficult to get food when you're fleeing war and are in a different country as a refugee with no job?
@scrat335@GedDuny@NAFOvoyager It's a fact of life more often in Ukraine seeing as the civilian casualties are 16:1 for Ukraine to Russia, not including the many more casualties too.
@opaqueleaf911@JewishNewsUK I mean, if you read that and you think they were advocating for genocide or not against Palestinian suffering you're insane.
"The Jewish people are carrying out what they were subjected to" is antisemitic, it's implying all Jews are responsible for Israel's actions.
@Bacchuslaureat@RuslanSmith1@JewishNewsUK You know that when the ICC issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant, they also issued arrest warrants for the Hamas leadership for crimes against humanity.
It's not a false equivalence. Hamas are even more blatant about it too.
@abd1rahman@llFenll@UkrainianAna@thesoypill Also, a large amount of Jews aren't Jewish, that's their overarching ethnic group. They were all part of the greater Jewish diaspora.
43% of Israeli Jews identify as secular and 25% as non-religious traditionalists.
Every group is equal under law within non-occupied Israel.
@abd1rahman@llFenll@UkrainianAna@thesoypill But they're all different groups of Jews, there are Mizrahi Jews who are as brown as Palestinians, Ashkenazi Jews from Eastern Europe, Sephardic from Iberia, Beta Israeli from Ethiopia.
A lot of Jews are indigenous too, many were forced out by the Romans. Depends on line drawing.
@abd1rahman@llFenll@UkrainianAna@thesoypill Uh... if you're calling Palestinians "mixed heritage" because some of European ancestry and others have peninsula Arab ancestry, then I have some bad news for you about Israelis...
Using this example, you don't think that Israel is an ethnostate either.
@BawlinBenn64288@NewsWire_US NY metro is very specific compared to 'NC or TX', there's a lot of space in there where you wouldn't be better off. And no one is stopping you from moving if you think you'd be way better off.
Communists don't have taxes either.
@BawlinBenn64288@NewsWire_US Except poverty rates are higher in states where Republicans have control. And Median Income is lower, uninsured rates are higher, education is lower, GDP is lower. And only unemployment is marginally lower in red states.
The state-level destruction is in the red states.
Almost seven years clean and sober.
Not a victory lap. Just a fact.
To anyone in the fight right now: it gets quieter. Not easier. Quieter. In the quiet, you find out who you actually are.
Thatβs the part they canβt take from you.
@imcheech@allie__voss It's not difficult, people just get so doomer on it.
Like you have the time, people wait around for their deliveries a lot, when I realised they took about as long as it took me to cook something, I stopped ages ago.
@TroyPowers77130@allie__voss I mean, that chart kinda looks like Millennials were cooked too, but they're doing pretty well. That chart also leaves out everything else we've gotten as a society outside of houses in the last 30 years.
Most people throughout history ever didn't own a home either.
@imcheech@allie__voss No one is saying not to eat out, holy.
They're saying that 70% of the money on food is going to eating out of some kind, then wondering why everything is so expensive.
I still go out, but not nearly as much of my food money goes to eating out.
@EaterTar96865@AngulusTerrarum@allie__voss Holy strawman, no one has to eat rice and beans for any amount of time, that's the cheapest possible meal, not the only cheap meal. Literally any meal is cheaper to cook multiple times than buy it ready-made or as takeout.
Buying a home isn't the best financial decision either.
@sealpenguin4@NowhereTOR22@allie__voss Not to mention that even in your own example, the median household income has rised almost in line with the cost of rent, which makes sense. Owning a home isn't always financially good anyway, you're getting it as a home, not an investment. Treating it like one is the problem.
@sealpenguin4@NowhereTOR22@allie__voss Wait you posted this as a win? Asking AI a loaded question to get the answer you want then posting it?
Of course the cost of housing is tied to the cost of shelter and not the cost of a home. Owning a home isn't necessary to live, shelter is. Lots of people happily rent.
