He had 3 clear opportunities and didn’t take them. For the 5th game in a row was found on his arse when in possession on a clear run to goal.

Both things can be true that the service could be better; but he’s got to be better when he does get it.

Celtic and Dermot Desmond should reassess what brings 'shame' to club's name || Graeme McGarry

"The statement that was released on the club’s official website over that protest by the Celtic Fans Collective was the stuff of fire and brimstone. In fact, it read like the stuff of a few too many clubhouse brandies.

"It is a golden rule of journalism not to venture onto social media after 10pm on a Saturday evening, never mind slapping a statement on a club website that had the timbre of a divorced Da’s Facebook feed. Not only that, but it made the whole thing a bigger story than it otherwise would have been, the diametrically opposite aim of PR damage control.

"One particularly stinging paragraph read: ‘Those responsible have brought shame upon the name of Celtic Football Club and upon a reputation which generations of Celtic supporters have spent more than a century building.’

"This is referencing the tennis balls, by the way, not the repeated failures to qualify for the Champions League, just for the avoidance of doubt." 👇

For the record !!
Celtic never released a statement anything like that when the clubs very own physio had a bottle smashed over his head at Ibrox .
Desmond needs to pack his bags and go .

No tennis balls hit Dermot Desmond - merely a handful of them rolled past him.

Some fans need to calm the fuck down about what they think actually happened.

No hurty words , no violence just a golf shot delayed.

And it’s got the attention and the reaction it needed.

A success.

Looks like Desmond been given access to the website again tonight by the looks of it from yet another car crash statement from the club.
Cue another draining, toxic season with the Club at war with its own fans. Another green brigade ban won’t surprise anyone either.

🚨 The Manchester City scandal excellently explained by the brilliant illustrations of Sports Ball. 💰⚽️

Give this man a medal. 🥇👏

'Celtic’s manager is 74 and, after recent health procedures, he can’t possibly be enjoying this. The time has come to ask himself if he still has the energy and the drive to turn around an analogue football club muddling by in a digital age.' 👇

[The Cynic @90MinuteCynic]

Change the manager and you’ll get a bounce but the club is fundamentally broken.

Nothing changes until there’s a root and branch shift at the football club.

No structure, no strategy and no accountability means that we will limp on until they can’t hide anymore.

Pathetic.

[Peter Martin @PeterMsport]

Having listened to that entire press conference I would not be surprised if Martin O’Neill tells the Celtic board he’s had enough.

Celtic must see this three week break as a real chance to change the management team.

You’ve got to think they’re considering it.

Daizen Maeda has really made an effort to make this goodbye happen. Really quality guy and deserves the reception he will get.

[Tim Trivia @TriviaTim]

If Nancy threw away a 4-0 aggregate lead in the champions league qualifiers and then went to Ibrox and got completely schooled by McInnes, our fans would be baying for blood.

I think O'Neill needs to face the same level of scrutiny.

That could've been 5 or 6 today.

[Ryan McGinlay @TheRyanMcGinlay]

Two of Arne Engels’ ‘replacements’ in Oliver Sorensen and Joel van den Berg didn’t play a single minute, with the latter not even named on the bench.

Mika Baur will be a good player for Celtic, just not in a midfield with Callum McGregor and Benjamin Nygren.

A big problem area.

[20 Minute Tims @20MinuteTims]

An absolute pasting.

Managerial disaster-class.

There’s got to be some world class excuse making to defend the manager after this one.

[4 Tims and a Podcast @PodTims]

Every Celtic supporter knows Tounekti is a fucking coward and yet somehow the manager and coaches persist with the useless bastard.

[Paul John Dykes @PaulJohnDykes]

The agenda is in full Technicolor.

They roll out the red carpet for them, while fans face a nine-month+ ban.
