@_LisaCherry Netflix. Its not light and airy at all but it's about Mexican drug cartels and power struggles. There's 5 seasons to get into and it's keeping me entertained through by covid banished to my bedroom fug. Something lighter defo the Adam project, it has flight of the navigator vibes
One more assignment and I've finished my 1st year of my Social Work apprenticeship. It has been a huge 5 month learning curve, I'm proud that I took the leap and grateful for the help I've recieved along the way.
@AngelaRayner We need more more people like defending the working class voters. The disempowered, who feel, their is now no point in voting as their not represented. You stand for us. Keep going, don't stop. You and Jess Phillips are my heroines
I agree with most of this, but totally agree that there must be transparency, respect & honesty in the dialogue. Also, that open dialogue must happen if this Review is not to crash in flames. Reflections on the Care Review debate β Ranting With References https://t.co/WN81iu3FP5
@leavernotleft @SWstudent78 I've started my social work apprenticeship. It's really scary, lots to get your head round and I feel like I don't belong but I've had lots of support from all my CEP to tell me I'm doing the right thing!
Are you kind, willing to offer your life experiences forward as a learning point, have the time to commit?
We're looking for you!! Our mentors are volunteers at their very best!
Would you like to find out more? Come along to our open evening. Let us know you're coming π
Working class academics:
Be proud of your roots, be proud of your accent, your dialect, your swears and be proud of the fact that you mispronounce words you have only ever read in books cos you never heard anyone say them. Youβre on your way to something brilliant. We need you!
@DrJessTaylor FML, how do these creatures walk amongst us. Do they not see us? Do they not know this was not funny in the 1950's and certainly not now.
@EmmaLewellBuck @educationgovuk@family_action So disappointing. Dynamic sustainable ideas are needed to make change. Unfortunately the government are not Dynamic and their plans are certainly not sustainable. A very sad situation when they're hungry for votes and not feeding the hungry.
π€crossed for the education meeting today. Steph from @groundworkuk has worked wonders with our Care leavers, 1:1 nurturing & hand holding to pass exams and get into work. Our hard to reach young people have finally got a service.π€for match funding.@karenbazell we need Steph!π
