This whole thing happening with Simi and happening with people where all of a sudden people go and start digging out things the e done or said in the past brings to mind something that I will forever be grateful for

When we were in the youth church one girl stood up and asked our leader

She said “sir since God will forgive us our sins so what if we go and be sinning and then come back and repent?”

The leader smiled and said “If you go and steal and they shoot your leg and cut if off, when you pray God will forgive you for stealing but you may never be able to get back your legs”

That stuck for me through out my years growing up as a young girl

And that is the whole concept of consequence

This is why one of the best things that can happened to you as an individual is to know Jesus early

It’s saves you from so many mistakes

Mistakes that could cause deep wounds whose scars you may have to carry all your life

Sometimes God will forgive you but humans will not

There are people in prison today for life that have been forgiven by God. They will go to heaven if they die but they will live behind bars here on earth

This spills even into marriage. There are some actions that will haunt you forever

There are some words that you may never be able to take back.

This is why it’s important that we think before we act

Consequences are a very real thing

This is why for things like sexual sins and fornication the Bible says it should not even be once named among you

Don’t do it and start finding a way to mend your mistakes. Not all mistakes are fixable

Don’t drift so close to ledge. Not everyone could climb back up

PS: if you lived a life of sin before you came to Christ, I want to recommend restitution. Make right those wrongs and apologize ahead. Get in front of your past before people dig it up themselves.
