MongoDB President and CEO @dittycheria recaps the largest expansion of our platform yet from the #MongoDBlocal NYC stage.
We introduced the foundation: MongoDB 9.0, the fastest version of MongoDB we’ve ever built, designed for applications and agents that act on live data.
Elasticity at any scale: Atlas Infinite, which scales compute and storage independently as demand changes.
Agents built where your data lives: Atlas Agent Engine provides the memory, runtime, and governance to run agents in production. It sits on the data foundation customers already trust and works with any model, framework, or cloud.

AI agents are becoming the new shopper. They won’t pick the best-written product page. They’ll pick products they can retrieve, understand, and verify. 🛍️
Here’s how retailers can build a catalog that’s ready for agentic commerce 👇

Developers can use MongoDB as the persistent memory store for applications and agents built with the Vercel AI SDK.
The MongoDB Vercel AI SDK integration allows MongoDB to store the following types of memories:
→ Semantic: Agents can recall conversations, user preferences, and past events across sessions and restarts.
→ Episodic: Key events and outcomes, so an application can recall what happened before. Kept for one year of inactivity by default.
→ Scratchpad: Temporary notes that agents use for work in progress. These memories expire after an hour and can be promoted to episodic memory if needed.
Developers can also retrieve relevant memories by meaning with MongoDB Vector Search, customize retention policies, and manage application data, all on MongoDB.
Open source and generally available on npm.

MongoDB.local Mumbai brought together the people shaping what’s next in technology. 💚
From conversations on moving agents from pilot to production, to the unveiling of MongoDB 9.0, Atlas Infinite and Atlas Agent Engine, the event was packed with ideas, insights and innovation.
We heard from customers including Kotak 811, Piramal Finance, Tata AIG, IDBI Bank and NABARD, got hands-on with the latest technologies, and connected with builders, partners and technology leaders from across the ecosystem.
Thank you to everyone who was part of MongoDB.local Mumbai. Until we meet again!
MongoDB has been named a Leader in the @IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Operational Databases 2026 Vendor Assessment.
As agentic AI moves into production, IDC’s Devin Pratt describes the operational database as “the control point for enterprise AI,” where agents access and act on live business data.

Markdown files are great for a second brain… until they aren’t. 👀
We caught up with @lindavivah at MongoDB.local NYC on why a database is a must for agent memory and scalability.
Millions of AI agents. Billions of transactions. One connected internet-native payment ecosystem.
Coinbase is building towards a future where AI agents can discover services and transact autonomously across the internet.
Powered by MongoDB's multi-region architecture, hybrid search, and MongoDB 9.0's operational resilience, Coinbase can scale agentic payments while keeping its engineering team focused on what matters most: building.
Coinbase and MongoDB are helping bring agentic payments to the mainstream. 💚
POV: You get advice from someone who’s been a MongoDB Champion before you even knew what being one meant. 👀
We brought together the OGs and the new kids on the block at .local NYC for a little knowledge transfer.
Some wisdom, some insider tips, and a whole lot of Champion energy. 💚

MongoDB now supports the SessionStore layer for Claude Agents. 🚀
With the MongoDB Claude SDK Session Adapter, conversation and action history persists in MongoDB, so your agents can pick up where they left off, even on a different host.

Your collection is growing. But is it time to shard, and which shard key fits your workload?
Introducing MongoDB Atlas Sharding Advisor, built to help you make more informed sharding decisions:
• Sharding Insights brings cluster performance metrics into a single view
• Sharding Recommendations flags conditions that need attention and suggests next steps
• Shard Key Analyzer helps you compare candidate keys using key characteristics and sampled workload data
