People who attended HBCUs rarely sit around comparing ourselves to PWIs because most of us genuinely don’t care where someone else chose to go to school. HBCUs gave many of us community, culture, confidence, networking, history, and lifelong connections not superiority complexes

She had no idea or ignored the fact that she was going into a toxic group dynamic that would cost her own life. When you’re the only black person in a group like this you become the butt of all jokes.
My card declined & instead of suspicion, I was offered grace. “Just send it later.” I walked out realizing that’s how inequality really works. Some people start w/ capital. Others start w/ doubt. Being assumed “good for it” is a privilege. & that compounds faster than interest.
