I thought I was getting good at cybersecurity… until this CTF humbled me. (Day-07)
Participated in override.exe
Captured 7 flags, but struggled a lot more than expected.
Big reality check: still a long way to go.
Back to learning.

Day 6 of my Cybersecurity Journey
Attended a DevOps in an AI-First World meetup in Pune today.
Big takeaway:
AI isn’t replacing engineers, it’s upgrading them.
DevOps + AI = faster builds, smarter security, better systems.
Learning never stops. 🚀

Cybersecurity has no “perfect path.”
No degree, roadmap, or checklist guarantees success.
What matters?
→ Curiosity
→ Consistency
→ Doing what you actually enjoy
Start messy. Stay consistent. You’ll figure it out 🔐

I thought hacking needed tools. I was wrong.
Day 4 of my cybersecurity journey:
Focused on Linux permissions & users today.
Biggest insight: Systems don’t get hacked…
They get misconfigured.

Day 3 of cybersecurity:
Most quit here. I didn’t.
Linux deeper (files, perms)
Basics of networking (IP, ports)
Realization:
Don’t learn everything. Learn how things connect.
Don’t just run commands → understand them.
Resources below.
@Burhan_aldeen_ That’s a solid approach
wide scope + business logic is where the real money is.
I’ve noticed programs with large attack surfaces often hide simple logic flaws that automation misses.
Are you prioritizing recon depth or testing breadth right now?
@HeisChizara@AishaBelloB@sudosheggs@cyber_razz Nice progress 🔥
Modules are a game changer once you start structuring your code better.
Are you building small projects alongside the course? I am beginning the same journey as you. Just curious 🤔
@Burhan_aldeen_ Love the consistency
That 1 hour focused hunting can compound fast if you stay consistent.
What type of targets are you focusing on right now?
@Wura4Cyber@VAInitiatives The avalanche effect still blows my mind 🤯
Did you compare how SHA256 vs MD5 behaves on slightly larger
files?
I’ve been testing similar stuff lately...super interesting patterns.
I documented everything I learned (notes + practice):

I’m sharing my journey daily as I go from beginner →cybersecurity.
Follow along if you’re learning too.

Linux felt confusing… until I realized this 👇
It’s not about memorizing commands.
It’s about understanding how the system thinks.
Here’s what finally made it click for me 🧵
