@chrisshipitv The refurb was necessary and nothing to do with the King. BP is owned by the Crown Estates, as you know. It is the Royal administrative headquarters employing over 700 people so the fact that the King chooses to live at Clarence House is of no consequence.
@Cathy57600977 As I recall the King intimated when he acceded to the throne that he wouldn’t be living in Buckingham Palace. Why then should the Press express such apparent ‘fake surprise’ at the announcement.
@TheBritLad No not truly justice by any stretch of the imagination and certainly not fair but then neither is some of the apparent two tier policing we have been witnessing online in recent times.
@HistorianUSA1 This is all based on assumption. Let’s just wait and see what really happened. There’s far too much scaremongering and rage baiting going on without knowing the full story!
Why all this interest/furore over Prince George attending Eton? It beggars belief that anyone thinks they have a right to criticise his parents’ decision. He is the future heir to the throne and is obviously going to get the best education money can buy. Get a grip!
@JeremyVineOn5 You could ask that question of any parent who sends their child to private school. It is only natural that they should want the best education for them, so if they can afford it, what’s the problem?
