Pre-Prep enjoyed a carousel of seaside-themed activities on Tuesday afternoon, to launch our new topic for this half term. Highlights included 'underwater' yoga, sea shanty dancing, jellyfish craft and story telling. #DurlstonDifference
We were delighted to help our friends at Kingfishers Care Home celebrate #InternationalNursesDay2026. The children made some beautiful cards to share with the nursing team. The residents enjoyed seeing them too! #DurlstonCommunity
Great excitement with the arrival of an ENORMOUS tractor and trailer this afternoon, thanks to our friends from John Shutler Tree Services. The children loved getting to climb up and sit in the cab! #DurlstonDifference
Reception, Year 1 and 2 children enjoyed a fantastic and trip to Longdown Activity Farm, where they joined in with a daily schedule of hands-on activities, including bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, and animal encounters in the Barn.

Well done to our marvellous Mathematicians in #DurlstonYr1, who have enjoyed plenty of hands-on and interactive experiences to deepen their understanding. #DurlstonMathematics
Our children enjoyed another fantastic selection of #durlstonholidaycamps over the Easter holidays. From thrilling rollercoaster rides at Paultons Park to learning about hedgehog conservation, there was something for everyone.
Our May Half Term Holiday Camp launch next week!
Pre-Prep's frozen world topic concluded with a fantastic visit to the Antarctic (aka @DurlstonArt Department!). The children were inspired by real life tales from glaciologist Professor Banwell and then crafted their own polar scenes complete with scientists, penguins and seals.
#DurlstonYr7 visited #DurlstonKindergarten this morning to read stories and play with the youngest members of our #DurlstonFamily. It was lovely to see how confidently Kindergarten responded to their new 'big' friends.
#DurlstonYr2 have been considering whether everything on the Internet is true. They had lots of fun designing their own ‘fake news’. A shark seen swimming through Brockenhurst, a mermaid diving , a fox doing ballet and a unicorn knocking at the door. #SaferInternetDay
Books & Blankets is our new calm, cosy lunchtime club held in the Durlston Library, for children in Years 3–5 and Years 6–8.
Children will be invited to choose a book, curl up under a blanket, and enjoy a biscuit to help reading feel easy and enjoyable.
