The Ministry has released the Updated Series of Annual and Quarterly GDP estimates with base year 2022-23 on 31st August 2026. These GDP Estimates were updated using New Series of Output Producer Price Index (PPI); Banking Services Price Index (BkSPI) with the base year 2022-23 and updated data from various administrative sources: Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation

The additional information being released now is mainly related to the adoption of double deflation methodology and consequent negative implicit deflators, its comparison with other deflation indices such as CPI and WPI, gap between nominal and real GVA/GDP, discrepancy between GDP estimates from production/income and expenditure side, comparison of new and old series growth rates, etc. To bring more clarity, the Ministry has brought out these additional questions and answers for the use of various stakeholders as per the Annexure: Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation

Nadir Shah’s own son was married to Aurangzeb’s great-granddaughter in a grand ceremony within weeks of the massacre at Delhi. But what’s the big deal, victors marry their victim’s women all the time. So, here’s something else—a letter. One of several.

In this letter, Nadir Shah made his motives abundantly clear. That his only motivation was his “zeal for Islam.” That he saw the Mughals as his friends. That he was keen to punish the insolence of the “infidels of Deccan.”

This information comes from a multi-volume 18th century work on world history by an Englishman. How reliable is it? I don’t know, but its third edition (which I reference) came out in 1744. Nadir Shah’s invasion was 1739.

Netflix series #IC814 by Anubhav Sinha tries to obfuscate facts of the hijacking. Few points:

1. Series doesn’t reveal at any point real names of Shankar and Bhola (Codenames) who were Pakistani Islamist terrorists.

2. Series gives clean chit to Pakistan and ISI. Pinning blame on Osama Bin Laden and few terrorists.

3. Makes a joke of respected NSA Ajit Doval who was lead negotiator to release hostages. Negotiations shown in a comical manner. Mr. Doval has a very serious persona with depth. His famous photographs on Kandahar tarmac near IC-814 not depicted.

4. Badly researched story. Desperation of traumatised passengers not visible at all. Instead series shows one terrorist and an air hostess romantically observing each other. Terrorists helping an air hostess.

5. Terrorists shown in a humane manner. Originality doesn’t mean you play with facts. Factual inaccuracies galore. Ismailis terrorists are no revolutionaries.

6. Cabin Crew Chief of IC-814 told me that facts were misrepresented in the series with an evil intent. (Interview out soon)

7. Govt in crisis in New Delhi also not shown well cinematically. Series made in haste without background study of events and characters. Even if Govt failed or didn’t react in time, that too wasn’t shown clearly.

8. Main context and background of three terrorists who were released from Jammu & Kashmir and New Delhi including Masood Azhar not shown. These were hardcore terrorists arrested for crimes against humanity and terrorism in Kashmir against innocent civilians and Armed Forces.

Overall the film far from being a masterpiece is cinematically a huge disaster. Since it’s a National Security related film on a subject of sensitive nature, one would’ve expected filmmakers to be cautious, taking facts on record and hold interactions with passengers, negotiators and key Govt and Indian Airlines functionaries who were involved at that time. Yet it’s completely a fictional story with so much creative liberty that it becomes intolerable.

One Airhostess of IC814 remarked that after watching first few minutes she couldn’t watch it further because it was utter rubbish.

7. Causes breakdown of the old moral values- honesty, sobriety, self restraint, faith in the pledged word.
🤔- promoting personal choice in everything

These aren’t mere words put together. These are Rules of Revolution prepared by the Communist International for guiding young revolutionaries.

Now pause and relate how the each one of its point is in action in our country. The nexus between Bollywood (brings sleazy content, wokism, breakdown of traditional system, normalising drugs etc), political parties who constantly devalue and degrade high profiles of the PM and President and the media that presents interpretations and opinions as facts and truth.

Comrades may not be in power but they have seeped in every system that governs our society and if we don’t identity the patterns still, India as a nation will crumble. That we must never allow to happen.
