Purple is an the in-game color associated with William, while the Mimic consistently uses orange. At this point, claiming the Mimic can use purple is basically breaking the color identity the game has made.

@VanadiumSv12 @Starbear_ent @TTVStarzwitch Even in Ruin, when the Mimic is controlling Helpi, Helpi’s eyes are orange. By then, the Mimic should have fully adopted William’s persona if I take what you're saying is true, yet it still doesn’t use the colors associated with Glitchtrap or Burntrap.

Besides, if its eyes were purple, that would imply it was under William's control or he had something to do with it, since that’s what purple represent.

@Starbear_ent @TTVStarzwitch The Mimic and Glitchtrap are two separate characters, and the same goes for Burntrap. Glitchtrap’s eyes glow purple, just like Burntrap’s, while the Mimic’s eyes glow orange regardless of what it uses. So no, the Mimic isn’t Glitchtrap nor Burntrap.
