Fan of USMNT, Crystal Palace FC, and Football generally. I enjoy discussions about the sport and the major stories surrounding teams and players I follow.
@JPEGosaurus@iamcoriarnold In the first year, assuming 20% down the interest alone is 15k. Already the standard for a single filer. For married it’s halfway. State income and propert tax obviously depend. Unless this buyer is spending max budget on the mortgage and in a low taxes state, many will itemize.
@HonestRevu1@iamcoriarnold Tax deductions aside if you could borrow $350k to invest in an index fund ETF at 5% with no greater risk than that the lender could seize the fund if you defaulted you would be crazy not to take that deal. Long term returns will almost certainly exceed the interest to pay.
@JPEGosaurus@iamcoriarnold If you paying 5.5% on a 350k mortgage then I am willing to bet between the interest and property tax alone you are well over halfway to beating the standard. Add in State income tax and then even a modest amount of charitable giving and you will be itemizing.
@Budgetdog_ So after maxing 401k, Roth IRA, and hsa (but don’t use it to pay medical bills), exactly how does one pay for mortgage, daycare, food, electricity? Sounds like advice on how to be a multimillionaire at 65 and shit broke until then. I’d rather live some life now.
@11Yanks Honestly seems more like a concerted effort on part of the big accounts to twist player words to support their own narrative and get clicks. The fact that it is a big tournament with high expectations is what makes it good preparation.
@swampdragonnj@KelvinLoyola I don’t see how Haji gets left out after the Nations League performance and ability to play on the wing. If Balogun still number 1, I think it’ll be between Sargent or Pepi for odd man out.
@swampdragonnj@KelvinLoyola If only 3 of the 4 make Copa America, then Sargent should be left out. Pepi has consistently delivered for the team and been a part of the group. He shouldn’t be punished for LDJ’s form at PSV.
@StanUsmnt Does this mean Berhalter is 80% there. Seems he has the connection and player buy in. Complaints (mine included) seem to be that he is tactically weak. Just curious.
@Eyesandvibes I like it. I could see Wes doing well on right wing too. His shifts at wingback for Juve were decent. It does limit some of his weaknesses as well and gives a more defensive double pivot, while keeping Reyna at 10.
@EinSchwarzwelt What is the solution for McKennie then? Does he play the 10 or in the pivot? I would think the pivot but he can sometimes be shaky when pressed.
@EinSchwarzwelt Actually think the Championship is a great route for a lot of our players. Less culture adjustment to life outside of the sport than say Germany or Spain and at a level that is sufficiently above MLS to challenge the better players but not to hard to crush them.
