I’m sorry if people have been having a go at you because of my tweet. Not at all the plan. I was very slightly drunk and already upset about something that had nothing to do with you. If it’s any comfort, I got it in the neck too. I’m a thin-skinned twat, apparently, even though it wasn’t my skin. I was sticking up for the writers who I adored. Obviously I shouldn’t have cited Bach/Kahlo/Moore - asking for trouble - and would have done better to go for the 10,000 blues songs written around the same 12 bar chord structure. I’ve listened to most of them and will keep doing so. Because we love what we love.
Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy.
One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what??
The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you.
Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!
Here's a hypothetical: There were rumors of a new development of the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, then Saylor sells like a nickel of his BTC stash to tank prices... So that the SBR can smash mega buy under the radar. 🤷
@halstonvalencia@leonwankum It's the six blind people touching different parts of an elephant and describing it: it's a rope, it's a snake, it's a tree, it's a wall... It's all those things.
@BitcoinRachy@TheBTCKnight I'll be that guy, but half. It's not either or. Invest half into 529, half to BTC. Every payment, half into each. The BTC fund may very well 10x the 529, but tax on the withdrawal. If you don't need the 529 convert to a Roth with all IBIT, and retire tax free on that growth.
@lindsay__stamp Maybe put it all into STRC, and as the dividends pay out, split 50% into reinvesting, 50% into Bitcoin. Then the base value growth beats inflation, and the rest is gambling with house money. 🤷
@Jethroe111@saylor Bitcoin to $5,000 is not a failure of Bitcoin. If one coin holds value, it's working. The first coin sold was valued at the cost of electricity the miner used to earn it. That's proof of work, of value, of success. It might put you underwater, but it's working. Never going to 0.
For 40 years, interest rates went down, debt went up, and nobody asked why.
Here’s what happens when the debt machine breaks, and why Bitcoin is the only clean escape 🧵👇
