My first Father’s Day in 41 years without a father figure. Lost my dad in 2005 and stepdad in 2025 and the way it staggered one was always there on each Father’s Day. It’s a lonely and surreal feeling but at the same time, blessed to have known each of them and to have made it to 41 years with them as role models in my life. I know there are many that did not make it that far in life. Count your blessings and if you have that figure in your life… hold them a little tighter today.
I was on the fence about AI and robotics taking over the service industry jobs but I’m 100% ready for it now. I recently lost my step father and the level of disrespect, lack of care and just poor customer service to anyone, let alone a grieving widow, as we had to take care of the MANY different things - from dealing with a dog pound that wouldn’t do their job to bad customer service every single place. Maybe it’s the old school in me but if you accept a job - get paid for said job, then do the JOB. If you don’t like the job and don’t want to do it, go into a new role.
@SenRandPaul How about you guys quit giving it to illegals and other BS first. Let’s start there. Waiting until everyone is de*d to give it out is not acceptable. With all the other BS you’re doing up there lately you might as well change that R to a D.
@TheWhiteWhaleHL@Conley76 Gotta say…. I have never seen anything you posted until this recent unfortunate event you went through and I have to say… props to you man. You’ve got a great personality and outlook. Especially weathering all these haters after the crap you went through. My hats off to you 🧢
