I agree with this, they might make a statement still. I think what is unnerving is how organically and quickly they endorse and defend things that are harmful, and how long and arduous the process is to get them to issue a warning or correction. I have fellow Bethel alumni DMing me warning me about how they think I shouldn't take a public stand against tPt -- they do this because Bethel hasn't made a statement. If Bill and Kris, basically, don't tell them it's unsafe and fraudulent, a lot of people will simply never believe it. And this leaves them at risk, and makes them cautious of fellow believers who try to warn them.

I just found out that Bethel dropped The Passion Translation from their online bookstore. This after endorsing it for years, running good PR for it when I tried to expose it years ago, and even selling their own special edition of TPT with Bill Johnson’s 16 page forward to the work.

Here’s a before and after image one from June 6th and one from today. Also, I’ve included Bill’s endorsement of TPT that can still be found on the official website of the fraudulent work.

Good Friday, the day I remember the God I chose to serve in childhood is also the One who voluntarily experienced the full depth of human suffering, without needing to and without deserving it. He walked the earth impossible to coerce or compromise, never backing down when it mattered, never giving judgment when mercy was required or mercy when judgment was required. He faced pain and He felt it; betrayal and He felt it. He singlehandedly faced down the ruling institutional and spiritual powers, and won by sheer grit and strategy. When it comes to courage and brilliance, it doesn't get more impressive than Jesus of Nazareth. Following Him is worth it. 💛🌺

Spiritual fathers and mothers are getting a bad rap. I understand we're shaken by the actions of some predators we're learning of in Bethel, IHOP, etc, but the concept of spiritual parents/mentors is biblical; and can actually be really beautiful. 💛🌺
