This week we were to select a nonfiction text to read and I picked Shout, a poetic memoir by @halseanderson that talks about and advocates for survivors of sexual assault. It was an absolute page-turner, I highly recommend. TY for your bravery/sharing your story w/ us #TSUEngMAE

@TeachLikeAnOG @ncte Read this in my YA lit. course and loved it. I think it ties in perfectly with the unit topics you’ve outlined! There are also a lot of themes that many young readers could connect with (trauma, identity, family) in addition to learning about indigenous oppression! #TSUEngMAE

@EmilyConnor15 The lunch lines are so long that students only have about ten minutes or less to eat their lunch which isn’t healthy. Since, besides gym, that is the students only break time from class, I feel that it should increased to at least 30 minutes. #TSUEngMAE
