When will it stop? Whilst many of us are enjoying the sunshine, spending time with family or getting ready for the football, our team are responding to situations like this.
These two tiny puppies, believed to be around two weeks old, were found abandoned in a box in Walsall on Friday and brought into our care. Had they not been spotted when they were, they simply may not have survived.
When they arrived they were desperately hungry, crying out for milk. At just two weeks old, puppies should still be safely with their mum, feeding regularly and receiving the antibodies they need to help protect them from illness as they grow.
A huge thank you to the kind member of the public who found them and brought them straight to us. They are now with our incredible, experienced foster carers who will be feeding them every few hours, day and night, giving them the very best chance possible. Hand-rearing puppies is incredibly demanding and, despite the amazing care they are receiving, they are not out of danger.
We will do everything we can for these two little fighters.
Sadly, we also wanted to share this because the abandonments haven’t stopped.
Every single week we are seeing dogs and puppies abandoned, neglected or left with nowhere to go. We are here to help dogs of all ages, but we wish people would ask for help instead of leaving vulnerable animals to fend for themselves and hoping someone finds them in time.
With England taking on Mexico later today for the FIFA World Cup (or the early hours of tomorrow) our team couldn’t resist giving these two little fighters some fitting names. Meet Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham. We hope, just like their namesakes, they show plenty of strength, determination and resilience over the coming weeks. They’re going to need every bit of support they can get.

It always baffles us how so many lovely, friendly dogs are just abandoned and left to their fate - we’re relieved to have been able to help Alice, but angry that she was in this situation in the first place 😣🩷
Alice is yet another dog let down by humans, but thankfully now safe and gets a 2nd chance at life and finding people who truly cherish her 🩷🧡🩷 Please show her some love 🩷🧡🩷
