Lead sales teams long enough and you’ll realize it comes down to 4 things:
1. Talent rules. The greatest coach sucks with out talented players.
2. Lead from the front. Pick up the phone and show them how it’s done.
3. Inspect what you expect. When you give assignments follow up until the team shows you that you don’t have to anymore. Until then verify, and then trust 🤷♂️
Lastly, the when matters. Make this date significant.
Choose a date this month when you will begin and assign a meaning bigger than yourself.

2. Realize Your Identity.
Your words have power so when you describe yourself, do it the right way.
You can no longer identify as the person you were.
ie. You aren’t lazy. You are the kind of person who works out.
You aren’t addicted to social media. You are a big reader.

80% of the conversation has to be about the outcomes our customers desire less about technical features.
Some things I wish I knew about sales earlier. No one cares about how smart you are well how long you’ve worked on something. They only care about what’s in it for them.
80% of your conversation needs to be geared towards what’s in it for them .
