Have seen and talked to too many DTC founders who honestly could not give 2 sh*ts how or where their product is made, so long as it checks the boxes needed to sell it. Obviously plenty of exceptions here.

The problem I see with a lot of DTC brands is they've got no soul. They start with a biz model and work their way backwards to the product and UX. The copy on the website is there solely to validate the biz model. The founders just move on to the next if they can't get the equation to work

@Empty_America Socal certainly has periods during the summer when water gets into the high 60s and low 70s. Even mid 60s, which it is much of the summer, is very nice on a hot day. North of santa barbara, however, will be 5-10 degrees colder

Exactly. Large scale data exfiltration for unintended uses. Maybe we’ll continue to see the old platform APIs continue to further restrict usage, while seeing a new class of API, one intended for slower, personal usage emerge. It just feels like we’re hoping this time is different, w/o much evidence to suggest that it will be.

In 2015 I built Shoppy Bot with the goal of giving retail/ecommerce operators a natural language interface to their business data. 10+ years later and I'm back building the same thing. And i gotta say it feels prettty good. It really works now.
