@sscoffield1 No he was not guilty. Someone else committed the murder but Andy was the only one around the crime scene and so they thought it was him.

What is your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is Andy Dufresne. Andy is my favorite character because he's unpredictable. One day he's in the library doing the taxes then next thing you know he escaped prison. A prison no one has ever escaped from.

@sscoffield1 He got himself in prison by killing his wife and her lover. As stated in the story, "Andy was in for murdering his wife and her lover"(King 6). By this action, Andy was in prison for the rest of his life.
