@_kruptos It’s an ongoing joke with my wife and kids that I don’t get sick. u
Unless I’m absolutely bedridden, I will pretend to be well. I don’t have the time, money, or PTO to just be sick.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz Your claim is that if the expansion shown in court were real half his neck would be gone?
You obviously still don’t understand. Soft/hollow points will often penetrate steel and then go DEEPER into gel than had they only hit bare gel.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz You don’t understand what you’re saying. Newtons’s law would dictate an equal and opposite reaction to the expansion… which means the bullet either slows down, fragments, or deflects.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz What do you mean not by flesh? Only by flesh, is closer to the reality. I don’t think you’re understanding my explanation of how bullets expand.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz Yes it is plausible, I’ve seen it happen in ballistics gel all the time. When you have rapid expansion which (at least for handgun, I’d have to look at data for rifle) happens before the bullet is fully penetrated the gel, and a compound angle of imapct, deflection is plausible.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz Let me clarify, a soft point or hollow point uses hydraulic force to expand. An FMJ will obviously not expand much other than from direct deformation by contacting something hard.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz I’m not sure exactly what you’re claiming. A bullet expands from hydraulic force. That only happens when you shoot something like gel or flesh. If you shoot something like a cast iron pan, for example, it will not expand nearly as much resulting in deeper penetration.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz The act of that expansion, and in this case fragmentation, obviously slows down the bullet. It doesn’t surprise me that at the downward angle (plus bullet drop), it was deflected by his spine amd not simply exited through his back.
@GOPearetraitors@ElectionWiz “Expantion up to twice the diameter, which means his head would have been blown off” is a nonsensical statement. The bullet expands from .308” to ~.5”, ok how does that mean his head would have been blow off?
