How about the probably corrupt Stewards debacle in New York? I'm pretty sure at least one of them is gambling on the product they're supposed to be officiating over. How about a call for an investigation?

Can you say it today? Can you say 12% takeout for WPS and Exactas for everyone so the game can begin to grow again? Currently it's kinda like McDonalds only serving happy meals to certain well connected wealthy children. Lets' make everyone happy and grow the friggin game. I've floated eliminating rebates on WPS and Exactas and making the takeout on those wagers 12% as a starting point to find the optimal takeout number for those wagers. Maybe @marshallgramm can come up with a better starting point IF all rebates were eliminated on those wagers? When we talk takeout it's also about field sizes and pool sizes. And when we talk takeout it's also about the DEFINITION of optimal takeout (this was used during our boycott of Ca racing in 2010/2011. As you can see there's nothing in the definition about what's "optimal for horseplayers/gamblers only".) "The price point that drives total wagering handle upward to where total long term revenue becomes maximized for tracks, horsemen, and governments."
