@Clint_Davey1 Compare Star Wars to Logan's Run. Lucas was part of the new wave of directors that would come to dominate the 80's. Nowadays, the studios are back in control, We need to wait for another tech revolution in film to reverse this.

@Clint_Davey1 I disagree. They were made by people who loved Star Wars, but also by the production company. Lucas in the mid 70's was a mad autuer with a vision. In a world of heavily managed movies Star Wars was a breath of fresh air.
