Overall I can’t wait to play this game on my actual Genesis. It’s hard to believe that we are now getting new games on these consoles from some of the original people who worked on them 35+ years ago. Just wild. But I am here for it!

While I haven’t played Earthion yet (I am waiting for the physical release) I have listened to the soundtrack. It sounds like @yuzokoshiro really went for the “early Genesis shmup” vibe with the music. Games like Thunder Force 3, Whip Rush etc. I love it!

It definitely has a “modern” flair to it as well though. It feels like he successfully mixed newer sounds and ideas with what a lot of early Genesis games sounded like. A couple of the tunes felt more like his earlier work on Revenge of Shinobi for instance.

There were a total of 3 Thunder Force games on the Genesis. IMO, 4 is the best, 2 is the worst. Tonight I will be streaming the first two. 3 is a fantastic game from beginning to end. 2, is supposedly "mid". Let's see if I can beat them both!

Tonight I will be streaming the OG Megaman. IMO, the worst game in the series. It's not bad per-se, but it isn't quite up to par with the rest. Either way it's been forever since I played it. And not on real hardware since I was a kid! This should be fun!

I got an MD test cart for Earthion and recorded a quick video.
We’re currently testing several different carts. This cart is for the Spanish-exclusive version. Because Earthion uses a large ROM and a custom cartridge design, testing still needs a bit more time.
In the meantime, enjoy seeing it running on a real MD! Stay tuned!
