Giving you deep dynasty league stashes so you can add the next breakout star before your league-mates. Covering the names your friends have never heard of!
Who is your deepest RB sleeper? Like a name I’ve never heard (but actually has a non-zero chance of being fantasy relevant). No Dylan Laube, no Cody Schrader, no Sione Vaki, no Blake Watson…. Deeper!
.@Raiders rookie RB Dylan Laube has been getting 1st team reps in third-down offense. He's looked impressive with the ball in his hands. Might be making a move on the depth chart.
ATLANTA #FALCONS TRAINING CAMP, Day 5
📝 Notes
-- Falcons owner Arthur Blank spoke to the media for the first time in months, saying he is more optimistic about this season than he has been in several years
-- Blank said he was aware Atlanta would draft QB Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8 and he was in favor of a QB succession plan rather than what happened after Matt Ryan, a franchise QB limbo which he equated to the “spin cycle in the washing machine and not being able to get out”
-- Tuesday was the first practice with pads, which was a celebration for both lines
-- This was the best the defense has played thus far, in no small part because of the increased intensity
-- The offense seemed more committed to the running game, led by RB Bijan Robinson’s seven carries and Tyler Allgeier’s four with the first team
-- On the second team, rookie RB Jase McClellan led the way with six carries, with Carlos Washington Jr. (5) and Avery Williams (3) behind him
-- QB Kirk Cousins was 8-of-11 passing with TE Charlie Woerner his most frequent target (3 catches) in 11-on-11 drills
-- WR Drake London and TE Kyle Pitts both caught two passes from Cousins
-- Pitts has had a good camp and Tuesday might have been his best day, particularly a 1-on-1 drill where he beat S Demarcco Hellams three straight times for touchdown grabs from Cousins
-- S Jessie Bates III, fresh off being the highest ranked safety in Madden 25, had his first interception of camp, a pick of Cousins
-- It was a good day for tight ends — Ross Dwelley had one of the best catches of camp, a diving grab from Penix
-- Penix was 6-of-10 passing with WR KhaDarel Hodge his top receiver (2 catches)
-- DL Demone Harris got more run with the 1s than he had been in previous practices
-- DT David Onyemata continued his strong play, as the majority of the penetration from the line so far is coming from the interior
-- LB Nate Landman had one of the best defensive plays of camp, snuffing out a screen pass from Penix to WR Rondale Moore
-- There haven’t been any fights in Falcons camp, but OG Matthew Bergeron got into it a bit with LB Milo Eifler and S Lukas Denis
-- K Younghoe Koo went 4-of-6 on field-goal attempts, missing 47- and 57-yard tries, but nailing a 52-yarder
-- New WR signings James Washington and Jesse Matthews were both at practice
-- Falcons are back at it Wednesday morning before a day off Thursday and an open practice at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Friday
#Texans rookie running back Jawhar Jordan @JawharJordan has put together several good practices, has a real knack for catching passes out of backfield and feel for zone scheme from his @LouisvilleFB background @KPRC2
"For those thinking the RB2 battle was firmly between Michael Carter and Trey Benson, Emari Demercado has something to say... Demercado has been a common occurrence subbing in for James Conner during first-team work... His pass-protecting ability has been on display early on."
“The biggest surprise of training camp has to be UDFA wide receiver Mason Tipton. He’s been gaining hype from multiple sources for his routes, hands, and big play ability.”
Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones said on @1053thefan that veteran RB Royce Freeman has “really impressed.” They were surprised he was available when they signed him to a one-year deal in April.
“We were just talking about it last night at the scout dinner, ‘What in the hell was he doing sitting around out there?’ An interesting guy to just have been sitting there. He’s a great 2-3 combination in terms of what he can do as a backup. He’s a big, thick guy. And he’s a hell of a special teams player as well. He’ll be a good addition and great complement to (Ezekiel Elliott). And then we’ll let these young guys between (Rico Dowdle and Malik Davis) and those guys battle it out.”
"Nothing against Elijah, but JP runs at a very high level." - 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan on Jordan Mason earning reps at RB2 when Christian McCaffrey isn't in.
Tyrell Shavers continues to be one of the guys standing out at camp. Just had a nice catch during 11 on 11 from Allen. The fact that he’s catching passes from Allen in itself is notable.
Jordan Whittington is already getting first-team reps. Cooper Kupp said "he's been so impressive," calling him a "pretty special dude"
Good first impression being made by the rookie WR https://t.co/JPl7RcJRkM
5. My standout of camp so far is Andrei Iosivas.
No surprise to Hilton, who worked out with him in the offseason.
“He’s going to be a big asset to our offense – especially in the slot,” Mike said. “He’s a bigger guy and can obviously run. He’s going to be a big target for us.”
#FFIDP - Another potential value in IDP leagues right now. 🆓
If Isaiah McDuffie can hold off Cooper for that starting role, as @KBellf54 and I discussed quite a bit post-draft on the rookie LB podcast, he’s essentially a free square for deep league production alongside Quaker.
6th-round pick Dylan Laube continues to open eyes here in #Raiders Camp.
Antonio Pierce called him "special and gritty." Said his speed surprises you. Went on to say he's going to be a "difficult matchup" for teams to deal with. @UNH_Football
