A new study found that two psilocybin treatments significantly improved Parkinson’s symptoms.
The participants experienced clinically meaningful improvements in motor function lasting at least one month, alongside rapid and substantial reductions in depression and anxiety symptoms lasting beyond three months.
Cognitive performance, particularly spatial memory, learning, and cognitive flexibility, also significantly improved, with no reported cognitive adverse effects or symptom worsening.
Care partners reported significant reductions in neuropsychiatric distress lasting at least three months post-treatment. Participants expressed high satisfaction with the protocol (10 mg initial safety dose followed by a 25 mg treatment dose ~2 weeks later), with all indicating they would recommend it to others.
This new study provides early data that psilocybin may have powerful implications for targeting Parkinson's disease and mood disorders.

The mineral your body is silently begging for:
Magnesium.
It’s involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions & supports everything from muscle & nerve function to sleep quality.
Here’s the incredible benefits of Magnesium (& how to consume it properly):
Drinking more green tea may offer protection for the brain.
In a study of Japanese adults without dementia, higher daily green tea intake was associated with fewer white matter lesions—damage to the brain's neurons that affects central nervous system function and increases the risk of stroke, cognitive decline, depression, and disability.
People who consumed approximately 3 cups of green tea per day had 3% lower white matter lesion volumes compared to people who consumed 1 cup per day. Consuming 7–8 cups per day was associated with a 6% lower white matter lesion volume.
While green tea offered a benefit, no association was found between coffee consumption and white matter lesions or other measures of brain volume.
These results might be explained by the neuroprotective components of green tea. Specifically, the green tea catechin known as epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG):
- has antioxidant properties
- has anti-inflammatory effects and inhibits NF-kB activation
- inhibits platelet aggregation
- regulates nitric oxide production in blood vessels
Theanine, another component of green tea, also reduces blood pressure and has other health-promoting properties.

The more frequent the sauna use, the more robust the effect
Here's an example:
All-cause mortality is 40% lower in people that use the sauna 4-7x/week
And only 20% lower in people that it 2-3x/week
A general guideline: Aim for 20 minutes at 174 ºF, 4x/week

I’m increasingly convinced that creatine is a great supplement. I take it, and here's why: Not only does it enhance muscle strength and recovery, but may also offer significant brain benefits, based on solid research.
It boosts ATP production to fuel your muscles, and emerging research shows it also sharpens cognitive function, especially under stress and fatigue.
As for the myth about creatine causing hair loss, recent podcast guest Dr. Layne Norton (@biolayne) shares this:
The evidence simply doesn’t support this claim. The concern stemmed from a small study linking creatine to increased DHT levels, but no direct connection to hair loss has been found.
A dose of 5 to 10 grams daily seems enough for most people to see the benefits. While a “loading dose” was once recommended, most experts don’t think this is necessary.
If you feel gastrointestinal distress or bloating while taking creatine, try this simple strategy: take two or three smaller daily doses rather than one large dose to reduce the side effects.
