Some congress moments stay with you. Presenting my SaaG poster at #EASCongress2026 on the intersection between reproductive planning and lipid management, and discussing it with Marianne Benn as moderator, was one of them. A real honour, and a very thoughtful exchange #MyEAS2026
Very glad to 🗣️ Nick Nurmohamed’s work on inflam plaques during the EAS Research Grant Winners session. The question is no longer whether inflam matters in ath, but how we identify biologically active plaques and translate that into better clinical decisions. Great work, Nick! 👏
The real value of a programme like this is not only what it gives you during the fellowship. It is what stays afterwards: a network, a sense of belonging, and the confidence to take your place in the scientific conversation #EASCongress2026#MyEAS2026
That is why I was very happy to speak about the EAS Young Fellows Programme at #EASCongress2026.
For me, it has been much more than a fellowship: a place where ideas are challenged, collaborations start, and young researchers learn to contribute with confidence #MyEAS2026
My take 🏡 from the EAS Stage: Social media is not the opposite of serious medicine. Used responsibly, it helps scientific societies enter the space where opinions, doubts and decisions are formed. That is not marketing. That is prevention #EASCongress2026#MyEAS2026@society_eas
In prevention, the weakest point is often the drop off. Risk is identified, but the patient does not reach treatment. Treatment is started, but not intensified. Therapy is prescribed, but trust is missing. SAFE HEARTS needs to protect the whole chain #EASCongress2026@society_eas
The future #EASCongress2026
ANGPTL3 silencing is entering a very interesting space in lipid lowering. Preclinical and Phase 1 data on AZD1705, a liver targeted approach aiming to lower atherogenic lipoproteins
And just like that #EASCongress2026 has come to an end!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for plenaries, workshops, scientific discussions, poster sessions, networking, and shared moments across the congress.

@society_eas@EASCongress Take-home from this keynote: ApoB is becoming more than a “better LDL marker”. It is a framework to integrate particle number, particle type, atherogenicity and biology.
ApoB 2026 is not only answers. It is better questions.
