Our students received an opportunity to represent our campus at the State Capitol during the 2025 Legislative Session. Students had the invaluable opportunity to observe government in action to deepen their understanding of civics & state governance. This trip was made possible by The HISD Civic Engagement Initiative & Office of HISD Public Affairs. @EAST_ECHS

@TreesForHouston is a nonprofit dedicated to planting, protecting, & promoting trees to enhance the quality of life across the greater Houston region.

Karen N., senior, applied for a grant & we were selected as a partner school. We are now surrounded by more than 25 new beautiful trees. Thank you to @TreesForHouston & @Chevron for their donation & to all volunteers who helped plant the trees!
