@bphillipsonMP Maybe you should learn from how private schools are run - rather than punishing them for being successful. RETAIN teachers by paying them a decent salary, that will save money by not having to train newbies over and over again.

What’s your plan for the 100s of SW19 kids who will need state school places because they can’t afford the extra 20% VAT?

Will you pay the cost of state school places, back to parents with kids in private schools in SW19?

@eleanorSW19 If she’s in the state school, will you give up her place for a private school child who lives closer than you do to that school? will you be ok that your policy will put SW19 kids in neighbouring areas? what about all the kids on waiting lists that will be pushed down the list?

@eleanorSW19 Everyone knows state schools in SW19 are oversubscribed and already at max capacity. Where are you going to place the 20% of kids expected to leave the local private schools because of the VAT increase you’re bringing in?
Is you daughter in private or state sector?…
