Well Day 9 of Investment Banking
Got staffed on 5 things, didn’t have time to even sleep for two of the 7 days I was MIA. Assoc breathing down my neck, asking where things are 24/7, call at 3:15 AM, MD in London is asking in which folder I saved something.
Investment Banking internship:
Day 2:
Arrived, got a task (was happy), finished task quickly (associate smiles, I realized I was fucked) tells me to build the IM, 14 hours later, still sitting here. Ordered $40 worth of food. Surrounded by bowls.
- Trenches
Investment Banking Summer internship:
Day 1:
Arrive, get handed a bunch of onboarding materials. My mentor? Not there, in a call (I didn’t see him the entire day). Meet the other summer analyst cohort, Master students and above.
-Stockholm Syndrome
2. Anthropic obviously using the “Mythos security issue” as an obvious marketing tool and then feeling attacked when their own narrative gets used against them. Just displaying a complete lack of self reflection.
The Anthropic situation is pretty wild for 2 reasons:
1. The blind ban on foreign citizens accessing the model internally is a net negative for all parties involved, especially when a large portion of the experts s.a Karpathy are non-US.
@spookiesaysboo@DeepDishEnjoyer@risk_respector So investors should care that a company is sending rockets into space?
“Hehe this is cool, here take my money”
You should use that trading strat more often
Fundamentals are dead and Finance has stooped to the level of Consulting
Giving everyone free access to the stock market is a massive mistake
“Hey Warren! SpaceX surpassed you in one day, where are your fundamentals now?”
