@mattgaetz Same goes for those Republican congressmen who bought stock in companies that made face masks right before the first big announcement on covid
I've watched politics for decades.
I've seen PLENTY of Republican politicians with whom I've disagreed on many issues.
Reagan, the Bushes, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and the list goes on and on.
But it wasn't until the emergence of Donald trump have I believed that a politician was an existential threat to democracy.
He's not a Republican, btw.
He is MAGA.
The difference is, MAGA is as extreme as any group we've seen.
They talk about immigrants not as human beings, but as "vermin" who need to be hunted down, and rounded up, and deported.
They don't even care if they are here legally or not. As long as they "look" as if they might be "illegal," they want them out.
We've all seen movements based on the hatred and removal of other human beings.
We often say "never again" when we talk about them.
Now is the time for all decent Americans who care about freedom & democracy to stand up and reject trump and trumpism.
