♕ British Women's Champion: Bodhana Sivanandan, who claimed the title after a dramatic rapid play-off against Trisha Kanyamarala.

♟️ We were delighted to welcome WGM Dr.Jana Bellin to the British Chess Championships in Coventry today. A 9-time British Women's Champion, Woman Grandmaster and England Olympiad stalwart, Jana has made an enormous contribution to British chess over many decades.

After defeating GM Michael Adams yesterday, IM Svyatoslav Bazakutsa leads the British Championship on 4/4.

The win also marked Michael Adams' first defeat in a classical British Championship game (excluding play-offs) since 1988.
