EDDA wants you to invent your own audience, to teach us a private language, and to tell, not to show. As always, EDDA is || By @realwyattgwyon & @cozyunoist
yesterday, I resigned from my role as EIC of Palette Poetry due to censorship, neutrality, & painful conversations around the occupation of Palestine. I'm sad to leave this way, but I can't work for a company that frames genocide as complicated.

“We are Jewish writers, artists, and activists who wish to disavow the widespread narrative that any criticism of Israel is inherently antisemitic.” New: an open letter.

@yumangwi nahh you do what i do only with greater and fuller conviction. which makes me a lil crazy. but it’s cool, nothing at all to be contrite about
Cordelia (web manager)’s laptop is out of order, so even as we work through the pile we we cannot update our response-times. Again, we’re incredibly sorry. Please disregard the “1.5666 days” listed on our website, as our current wait is gonna run quite a bit longer
We are so incredibly sorry for all the delays. our submission system filters rejected responses into a separate file, so if you replied to our invitation to submit again to the same email thread, your submission may have gotten lost. Please feel free to resubmit at your leisure!
…not as a reply to the first message, but as a separate email. Again, we are so incredibly sorry for the confusion, and we thank you for your patience as we attempt to work out the kinks
it’s been so much fun reading your submissions for the first issue! truly honoured by some of the things you all have sent our way. thus far issue 1 is about 10% full… as always we are telling on our own response time & acceptance rates at https://t.co/2WfkkCFJst
@DublinWriter we’re not affiliated with that twitter account, nor that email so that must be the trouble! our email is at the bottom of https://t.co/WlzxZ5lpf7. sorry for the mix up, hope you’re able to get in touch with those people
@DublinWriter ah, sorry, that’s not our email! we’ve only ever been at https://t.co/KJlrySOnbU. i would just re-contact whomever you sent it to; sorry for the mix-up
@DublinWriter ah! double check https://t.co/WlzxZ5lpf7 and ensure that it arrived at the right email; otherwise you might want to resend it. we do not send separate acknowledgements but we have never taken more than four days for a decision thus far
one of of our favourite things about the english language is that there is nobody to whom it belongs and nobody with the institutional power to set dicta; more english speakers live on the indian subcontinent than in the usa
was thinking about this because we got a piece that referred to someone as speaking 'broken english'. really doesn't seem like an okay, even a conceptually sound thing to say. and if it were, we'd want your works to break english ourselves!
we could not be more impressed with the quality of the work people have sent us. thank you all for having believed in our mission, and for have given us the chance to put it to the test with you. keep on submitting, the first issue is looking like it will be a truly great one :)
