@UncommonCmdrMTG You're a monoblue deck doing the monogreen thing, and monogreen would run most instances of Heroic intervention that they can to ensure their big bodies stick. Counterspells are just blue Heroic interventions.

@PGDHanson I doubt we will get Lightning bolt ever again in standard. Great for the ABUR era gimmick, but it's too strong for modern magic.Snapecaster has the silver medal for that same thing. You'd have to debuff every sorcery and instant you design while it's in standard because it exists

@ChiStyleGaming I can't imagine that many people believe that it's a realistic portrayal of reality. Now more than ever I see it as an escapist form of entertainment tangential to a hobby they already love so it feels familiar even on the first boot up sequence
