Has anyone ever thought to use their stock positions as margin to trade crypto?
I recently saw that @Bitget's rToken allows you to do this, so I decided to test it myself.
The setup was pretty straightforward.
I opened the rToken section and saw tokenized versions of US stocks like Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia. Each one is backed 1:1 by a real share that’s held with a regulated broker, which is something I wanted to verify before trying it.
I bought a small position just to see how the experience felt. The execution was smooth, and I didn’t notice any major slippage during my trade. Since it connects directly to NASDAQ and NYSE liquidity, the trading experience felt closer to what you’d expect from a traditional stock broker than from a typical crypto product.
But what really caught my attention wasn’t the purchase itself, it was what happened after.
Normally, if you buy a stock, you just hold it and wait. Here, the token doesn’t just sit in your account. You can actually use it as margin while still maintaining your exposure to the stock. That means your capital can do more than one job at the same time, which is something I don’t usually see with tokenized assets.
Now, is it perfect? Not necessarily. Availability depends on your region, and if you’re someone who only invests through traditional brokers, this might not be something you need right away.
But if you’re already active in crypto and you’ve been looking for an easier way to get exposure to US stocks without leaving the ecosystem, I can definitely see why rToken is interesting.
Overall, I came away impressed by the execution, the liquidity, and especially the capital efficiency. If you’re curious about tokenized stocks, I’d say it’s worth trying yourself and seeing how it fits your own trading style.
And as always, this isn’t financial advice, just my experience after testing the product.
@bitget did a good job with this rToken option and I’ve been using it since it went live. 🔥
My partner @actionmodelai is genuinely changing how I interact with AI every single day. Training by simply browsing while stacking ownership in a community-owned Large Action Model feels right.
