@AOC Fracking provides jobs at the expense of safe water for rural communities. It’s not an either/or binary discussion. End fracking and invest in sustainable growth that doesn’t require giving up safe water. People shouldn’t have to chose.
I might become obsessed with Neil Degrasse Tyson’s Cosmos:Possible Worlds. One episode about Russian botanists dying to save ancient seeds and I’m hooked.
@TeamBoehm @ncte@YAStudiesAssoc YA version of Just Mercy, graphic novel version of the 9/11 report, Kids at Work: Lewis Hine and the Crusade against Labor, Sugar Changed the World. I’ve used a lot of the historical fiction recommended in this thread, too.
@ReadingShanahan I agree. Now I’m thinking about how Saddler’s sentence combing work could support sentence comprehension along with sentence composition.
@ProfessorJVH I’d emphasize her role as a community college professor and high school teacher. She demonstrates a commitment to educational access as a national priority, a commitment to public education as a civil right, and teaching as a profession and a calling.
Dear rest of America,
Stop giving money to Amy McGrath. She has a ton of it and probably isn’t going to win anyway
Give to the candidates in SC, IA, MT, etc that are in close races and can win
Not trying to be rude but stating a fact
Love,
Kentucky
Thank you for your support for Educator Prep in Kentucky @RepJohnYarmuth! @kykacte representatives Drs. Dinkins, Stallone, and Sharma had an excellent visit with Congressman Yarmuth. Discussed the importance of investment in #EdPrep Programs Nationally and in KY
