If I were you I'd pay the refundable £4/$5 deposit for one while you consider it as it my be about 9+ months before your order's ready to ship.

@AyaTheTomboy @SplinterGP @realPhoenixFire SteamOS 2 was more of a console OS for Steam Machines used in the living room on TVs for streaming games from a PC or running native Linux games. It was basically just big picture mode. It also predated Proton so support for Windows games wasn't great. You wouldn't install on PC.

@cyangalaxy_ @FanScreening @endermanch With the work Valve has done on Proton I'll definitely be dual booting SteamOS with Windows when it releases. Being built on top of Arch Linux there'll be minimal bloat. I have no idea what Windows is doing in the background.

Nothing needs to be "adapted" for a VR cinema, for example. I've already watched tons of films in VR with my friends via @BigscreenVR
