@MartinSLewis Morning Martin. I just read your latest newsletter article on overpaying your mortgage. Very useful. However, it would have been even better if you had also weighed up overpaying vs putting that extra money into your pension. Thoughts?
I just entered @AutoTrader_UK’s monthly️ #ElectricCarGiveaway & you can too! This month’s prize is a Nissan LEAF Tekna worth over £31k! It’s free to enter & you have until 31st August. All information (including Ts&Cs) can be found here: https://t.co/j1TSNlGJaX
@Smileybuzzybee @Miss_Sohal It depends on what you end up doing. Yes there are routes that mean a pay cut and some routes that mean more pay. I was a HoD and earn more now... within a year of leaving. Careful planning and flexibility was key to this
@Smileybuzzybee @Miss_Sohal I took my time to test the waters in a few areas before I honed in on what I wanted for my life (I.e. values to start with). Do you want to escape?

@Miss_Sohal Congratulations on making an exciting new step for your own balance. I also left the profession in recent years and now work with other teachers helping them find their new paths as a coach.
"Hard work is the key to success" - Society is littered with these quotes. Work hard enough to the point of burnout and "you will live a good life: not just a life of material comfort, but a life of social dignity, moral character and spiritual purpose."

Do you know what "values" resonate with you the most? It is a useful task to undertake, especially when trying to figure out what path you want to take (i.e. job/career). Type into Google "list of values" and you will find lots to choose from. Choose 5 values. #values
@Katy_primary97 It's possible to be prepared with what it will cost but not necessarily ready. They are expensive and it's worth planning well in advance if you can. 2nd hand items are key.
@ChrisMoyse 1. Pay more. In particular as you rise in ranks.
2. Provide adequate non contact time
3. Support more early years teachers with behaviour.
4. Celebrate teacher success more.
5. Allow a flexi holiday system for teachers.
These are why I am no longer teaching after 10yrs of it
