@KXAN_News HOT taxes can not be used for “city improvements”. It can only be used for tourism development that the local hotel association approves of.
@DMagazine No problem with enforcement if you enforce against Airbnb for processing illegal transactions, instead of going after 1000’s of STRs individually.
By the way, HOT revenue cannnot be used to hire code inspectors
@RyanChandler98 Why can’t people understand tha 10% higher appraisal does not mean 10% higher tax bill? These same legislators passed a 3.5% cap on tax revenue increases— which means tax RATE must be reduced to accomplish this.
@LoewyLawFirm Appraisal increases do not equal tax increases. Tax rate has to be reduced so total tax revenue is no more than 3.5% higher than last year. I’m OK with that. This is what I mean by people not understanding the math.
Thank you @StDavidsHC for the excellent ventilation in the OG St. David’s Hospital (32nd St.). I had my Aranet4 with me while a patient in the ER yesterday and the CO2 readings were all between 541 and 628. Also MD and RN both wore masks..

@BrujaJuera “Requests for data” demonstrates the problem. The county should REQUIRE the data or #airbnb is fined for each illlegal transaction it processes. #platformaccountability
