When I think of a prophet, I imagine an old hermit man, completely removed from reality & community. I’m thinking warts & bad breath, reminiscent of that one grandpa with zero sense of personal space. Well it turns out #NotAllProphets #bibhb500

I’ll end this rant with one last prophet: Isaiah. He was married to a (probable) prophet, had kids, interacted with kings, lived in Jerusalem, & there are no notable warts to speak of. So there ya have it. #NotAll Prophets are loner hermits! (Coogan & Chapman, 324)

What we do see in this story is the theme from Genesis--exile & return. Even in kindling the Lord’s anger, the Israelites would still be given the opportunity to return.. This theme centers around the Lord's instructions to listen, follow, persevere, unite, & trust in God.
